BA Star Smokey Palette + Giveaway Winner!!

BA-Star-pallete-review-smokeyHey guys!

I just wanted to thank those who sent me their best wishes from my last post. I really appreciate it πŸ™‚

So it’s been a while since I posted a make-up look. I wanted to go ahead and review this *BA Star Smokey Palette that I received through BrandBacker. BA Star is a make-up company that is known for their performance quality makeup! If you’re a performer (cheerleader, dancer, etc..) you may have heard or even used this brand.

This particular palette is called Midnight Smoky Eye Shadow Palette and is sold for $8.75. It comes with 4 shimmery shadows and a nice matte black shadow.

Here are the swatches.

First impression: The shadows are creamy and pigmented with the exception of the highlight shadows.

So it was extremely hot outside, and that’s my oily skin’s nightmare (my lids are even oilier). So everything is working against this makeup.

I used a primer on my upper lid and the makeup stayed well there but I noticed that the black shadow on the bottom is fading! Shows you how important that primer is. I decided to make the bottom part a little thicker πŸ™‚

Well my camera died before I could take more pictures. Enjoy these camera phone/instagram pics!

Everyone meet crazy eyes. I was hot and sweating everywhere. :0

Β Anyway, all in all, I think this makeup is good for it’s price! It didn’t completely melt off my face during heavy sweaty time. Just remember that primer and you’ll be all set.

In other news! My Bee Whimsy GIVEAWAY is over. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR PARTICIPATING πŸ™‚ See the winner below!

  1. Ok, I’m going to have to try this because I have some blue eyeshadow shades I want to wear without looking like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show. You are working those camera phone pictures!

  2. Those shadows really brought out your eyes! Gorgeous! I think I’ll try this. And you totally make me want to dye my hair for the summer!

  3. IDK if anyone else has noticed, but you looked different in these photos. Perhaps the low-key lip color? It’s a good thing, though!

    1. Ah that could be a million factors (makeup, hairstyle, lighting filters, editing) πŸ˜› Someone had commented about the lack of nude lips in my posts. I love my bright lippies what can I say. Also I have twice as much eyeliner on and my hair is also twice the size. But at least it’s different in a good way! haha
