Hello and thank you to Julie and FVS readers! I’m Stef, and I run 2ndshot Clothing with your usual blog author. There we try to keep up with high-end trends on a low budget, and now we’re pleased to share these posts with a new audience.
Behind hippie bohemia, lace may be one of the biggest trends of the season. To be honest, I thought of the fabric like someone may of Woolite detergent. But as Stacy London says, “It’s not just for your delicates!” Allure said to keep it simple, Harper’s Bazaar called it romantic, and Marie Claire wrote to wear the angelic material with a devil-may-care attitude. 😉
What’s in our bag: brown Prince of Wales Plaid Pants, $2
This trend has been creeping around with notice around Kendall Jenner’s February Vogue spread. Perhaps due to the reinvention of 1960s and 1970s styles, this month’s Glamour‘s “Dos & Don’ts” featured high-waisted flares. Yet again, Vogue displayed a very retro-inspired editorial. Mix and match your trends with sweeping trousers in the hot pattern of season- grids!
Bouncing off of the mermaid trend we noted last month is a more general tropical theme. Keep the length and flowiness of your waterwoman dresses; kick out the pastels for bright, vibrant color and bold patterns and jewelry that incorporate florals and nature. As great as having a starfish bra sounds, this island getaway look sounds like the defining and perfect wear for summer.
Thanks for reading. I look forward to hearing and sharing with all of you!
